Florence is Terribly Beautiful

"We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us."

Today was pretty normal. I went to both of my classes, and on my way back from my second class my friends and I saw something pretty interesting. There was a building that I had been passing every day that looked like it was covered with some blue shingles. I never paid much attention to it. Today, as I was passing it I looked at it and noticed it wasn't blue shingles... It was American dollar bills! Thousands of them!
Excuse me while I go grab a ladder... Kidding.

Later, I went out to eat at a great restaurant. One of my favorite things to eat back home was calzones. So obviously a calzone in Italy would be ten times better... It was.
Also, it was MASSIVE. That is a HUGE calzone.

That evening there was a TON going on in Florence. There were millions of tourists here today and I didn't think too much of it. When we were headed out to eat we saw some sort of rennaisance parade starting on our street and later there was a marathon that we watched finish on the steps of the Catedral.

It was a pretty great day to be in Florence. :)
